Training Specialist

Description: The Training Specialist is responsible for supporting the Education and Training Director, and relevant Project Principal Investigators and Project Leads, in all aspects of instructional design and implementation.

Major duties and responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with subject matter experts and other relevant project staff to determine training needs
  • Developing course content related to clinical data management topics
  • Facilitating interactive and engaging training programs for classroom, virtual, and online settings
  • Writing, editing, and formatting documentation and materials needed for each program including: facilitator scripts or guides, training manuals, storyboards, service guides, help documentation, tutorials, webinars, newsletters, brochures, videos, and other training media as needed
  • Evaluating effectiveness of training programs through interviews, surveys, and analysis with internal and external stakeholders
  • Other duties, as needed.

Reports to: Education and Training Director

Controls over position: Worked is assigned by Education and Training Director, and relevant Project Principal Investigators.

Required qualifications:

  • At least 2 years training experience in a professional setting
  • Detail-oriented; strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess a responsible, results-driven work ethic, with the ability to drive projects to completion
  • Experience using Articulate 360, Camtasia, and MS Office Suite (including high-level proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Publisher) and other software packages to develop eLearnings and training materials/documentation
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with competing priorities
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external collaborators
  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on new projects and initiative.
