The Frontier Science Independent Statistical Center, or ISC, has launched a new website at http://www.fstrf-isc.org. The website outlines the Frontier Science ISC areas of expertise and experience, and the graphical reporting style of the ISC.
The Frontier Science ISC was formed in 2002 and is headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin. The ISC is led by leading biostatisticians, including David L. DeMets, PhD as Senior Biostatistician, Ting-Li Lin, PhD as Research Scientist, and Jamie Hoel, MS as Director. Partners include the NIH, pharmaceutical and device companies, and clinical research networks conducting clinical trials in Cancer, Cardiovascular, Metabolic and Autoimmune disease areas. The ISC is experienced in large and small trials, in Phase II and Phase III, Randomized, Double blinded, and Open label studies, and also has experience in pharmaceuticals, devices and biologics.
The ISC mission is “to contribute to medical research by providing high quality and responsive statistical support to Independent Data Monitoring Committees, evaluating the risk/benefit profile of ongoing clinical trials.”
“The field of interim data monitoring is expanding at a rapid rate. We are very excited to launch this new site. Having the ability to provide potential collaborators with quick, accessible information on what we do and how we do it is invaluable,” says Jamie Hoel, ISC Director.
