The Tuberculosis RePORT International Coordinating Center (TB-RICC), a four-way collaboration between Frontier Science, Rutgers, Vanderbilt, and Johns Hopkins, serves as the coordinating center for TB-RePORT (Regional Prospective Observational Research in Tuberculosis) International (TBRI).
Since its inception in 2012, TBRI has become a leading global TB research consortium for observational and biomarker studies, encompassing 32 study sites and 13,534 participants. Its contributions have included clinical and epidemiologic studies of the interaction of TB with HIV, diabetes mellitus, and malnutrition, as well as the discovery of biomarkers for adverse treatment outcomes and risk of progression.
Frontier Science oversees the data management and quality assurance components of the TB-RICC, specifically providing the necessary tools and related training to build site capacity, centrally collect, manage, and store data, and contribute to data harmonization efforts across the RePORT networks. Sue Siminski, Frontier Science Principal Investigator (PI), serves as a member of the Leadership Group and Director of Data Quality Assurance.
